Travel Information

If you intend to come by plane, we recommend to come via Vienna. We organize a free special Conference shuttle transport from Vienna Airport to Třebíč at June, 22 (Monday). Please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested or immediately when your arrival to Vienna is settled.

The conference will take place in Trebic, Czech Republic. You can directly reach Trebic by train from Brno or Prague, by bus from Brno or Prague or by car. Since all surrounding countries of the Czech Republic belong to Schengen area, there are no boarder controls on the boarders of the Czech Republic.

Ride from Germany

Regular bus connections Vienna - Brno

There are buses from Vienna airport directly to Brno.

Regular bus connections Prague - Trebic or Prague - Brno - Trebic or Brno Trebic

  • From Prague: Buses leave Prague from the Florenc bus terminal (Metro station Florenc, on the Red line C). Tickets cost approx. 200 Czech crowns (8 EUR) one way. There are few buses per day, with the final destination of Třebíč.
  • From Brno: Buses leave Brno from the Central bus terminal 'Zvonařka' (10 minutes walking distance from Brno main railway station or 20 minutes walking distance from Brno Benešova bus station). Tickets cost approx. 60 Czech crowns (2.1 EUR) one way. There are few buses per day, with the final destination of Třebíč.

Train connections within the Czech Republic

From Prague: Trains leave Hlavní Nádraží (the Main train station) multiple times per day. One oneway ticket from Prague to Brno costs approx. 350 Czech crowns (14 EUR).
From Brno: Trains leave Hlavní Nádraží (the Main train station, 10 minutes walking distance from Brno Benešova bus station) multiple times per day. Tickets cost approx. 88 Czech crowns (3 EUR) one way.

Very important note: If you intend to drive highways you need have a pre-purchasing toll sticker which you usually can buy on the border. There is a 7days sticker for 220 Czech crowns(CZK), or one month sticker for 339 Czech crowns.

If you drive from Germany

  • If you drive from the west through Germany after you reach Praha (Prague) you should take the highway D1 direction Brno. The first exit you can use is the exit 134 (that is on 134th km from Prague) at Merin. Take the second class road 349. After 18km take second class road 351 which brings you to Trebic. If you pass the exit there are also further exists direction Brno later .
  • Probably the quickest way is to continue on highway D1 until exit 182 Kyvalka, where take the first class road 32, which brings you to Trebic.

If you drive from Austria

You have two possibilities:
  • Take the first class road E59 north of Vienna, which brings you to Moravske Budejovice, where you switch to second class road 401. After 8km your arrive to Jaromerice nad Rokytnou, where take the second class road 360 which brings you after 18km to Trebic
  • If you, however, prefer to drive highways, take the highway E58 direction Bratislava - the Capital of Slovakia. After you pass the Slovak-Austrian border you must be careful because you have to switch to highway D2 direction Brno (and Prague). Change to highway D1 close before Brno direction Praha. You bypass Brno and immediately after it use exit 182 Kyvalka and take first class road 32, which brings you to Trebic.

If you drive from or through Slovakia

In Bratislava the highway D2 direction Brno (and Prague). Change to highway D1 close before Brno direction Praha. You bypass Brno and immediately after it use exit 182 Kyvalka and take first class road 32, which brings you to Trebic.


If you drive from Poland

The quickest way is probably to drive thought Ostrava, where starts the highway D1 direction Brno. Unfortunately one part (Bilovec - Hranice) of the highway is currently under construction. After you bypass Brno then immediately after it use exit 182 Kyvalka and take first class road 32, which brings you to Trebic.

Local transportations

In Prague:
  • How to reach center of the city from the airport consult http://www.pragueairport.co.uk/
  • If you use taxi in Prague, you need to negotiate the price with driver before you enter the taxi cab to prevent cheating (the price airport center of the city should be around 700 Czech crowns.
  • Florenc bus terminal (Metro station Florenc) and main railway station (Metro station Hlavni nadrazi) are one metro station far away on the Red line C
In Brno:
  • Bus terminal 'Zvonařka' is 10 minutes walking distance form Brno main railway station.

For present it seems very probably that we can organize a shuttle transport from Vienna airport to Trebic for smaller groups of persons. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested in or immediately when your arrival to Vienna is settled.
